Great West Trail provides full service Base Camps for Southwest New Mexico back-country travelers - in the best tradition of American-style outfitting. Our company was developed by expert backpackers and guides who have lived in New Mexico for many years. We know the hidden and secret places in the Land of Enchantment.

Strategically located throughout the territory, Great West Trail camps provide an authentic Southwest outdoor experience. With modern amenities such as:  hot camp showers, toilets,  plush bedding, and delicious food... our camps are comfortable!

GWT Camps are designed as Base Camps where you can stay from one to fourteen nights. All locations are picked for the best exploration of Historic Sites, Wildlife Areas, and National Trails.

Itineraries: travelers can reserve a Trail Camp for one or more nights*.

We can also arrange Guided Trips with the best of local experts from most camp locations.
